Analyst – Consulting

Company background:

The Sports Consultancy is a fast growing London-based agency that provides business solutions in sport to rights holders, cities, events and venues. We currently have a vacancy to work in our Consulting division, supporting our rights holder and host city consulting projects.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Gathering quality data and research on rights holders, events and cities
  • Applying an evidence-led approach and analytical thinking to this research to provide insights and identify potential opportunities
  • Using strong business writing skills to convey complex ideas clearly and simply
  • Taking ownership for specific project deliverables, supported by senior members of the team
  • Independently managing a range of tasks and responsibilities across multiple internal and external projects, including regular client reporting
  • Monitoring industry press, news and trends to build awareness of the industry and highlight relevant items to clients and the team
  • Actively contributing to the growth of the business through driving and supporting internal systems and processes, helping to identify potential new client opportunities, and creating new business proposals
  • Supporting senior members of the team with project management related tasks (when necessary and appropriate)

Skills required:

  • Excellent research and analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, formal and informal)
  • Proven time management and organisation skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the sports industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of presenting large amounts of data in a consumable manner
  • Attention to detail


  • 6-12 months’ experience in a corporate environment (either through permanent role, internship, secondment or other work experience)
  • Experience in consulting, sports, marketing, media or sponsorship would be beneficial
  • Strong academic qualifications at degree-level, 2:1 or above

The role will be rewarded with a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a package that includes contributory pension and 23 days holiday per annum.
