The Sports Consultancy is looking for an experienced Consultant to join its growing team. We would like this individual to take a lead in further developing our brand partner commercial asset valuation and consumer analytics capability / methodologies and rolling them out across our practice and to our clients – with a primary focus on sponsorship partnership ROI.

As a result, previous exposure to and expertise in commercial asset valuation and date modelling is a highly desired skill and a priority for this role.

The role:

  • Leading the continued development of TSC’s commercial asset (sponsorship) valuation methodology and toolset
  • Leading the continued development and roll-out of our consumer insight analytics capability (including the integration of existing and new third party providers and tools)
  • Leading our data analytics and insight capability
  • Providing both client-facing and internal consultancy services, working within a wider Consulting team of Analysts, Consultants and Senior Consultants
  • Providing strategic and commercial advice to our internal teams, rights holder, event and city clients to help them enhance commercial returns, find efficiencies and suggest innovative and creative solutions
  • Supporting Senior Consultants to design and produce high quality deliverables to reflect and exceed client needs
  • Taking direct day-to-day responsibility for project managing internal and external engagements and managing peer level client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered on time and in scope
  • Designing and creating individual deliverable content with minimal support, ensuring all deliverables are visually appealing and professionally executed
  • Using numeric analytical skills to process large volumes of data and identify trends and opportunities
  • Thinking creatively and innovatively to present information to clients and internal stakeholders in an accessible manner
  • Using an evidenced based approach to deliver a succinct argument to clients
  • Comfortable presenting information in person and facilitating client discussion
  • Managing junior team members (analysts and interns) and provides clear feedback to improve and enhance their work, including proactive coaching and mentoring
  • Contributing to the wider business and practice development objectives of the Firm

The role will be rewarded with a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, discretionary bonus, contributory pension, and 23 days holiday per annum.

Whilst this role is based in our London office, we have clients across the globe and some travel is required. We operate a hybrid and flexible working model, with typically 3 days in the London office per week.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience required:

  • At least three – four years experience working within rights holder, agency, major event or professional services background
  • Experience leading / executing rights valuation, using complex data sets
  • Experience working with third party consumer analytics tools
  • Experience working in a programme or project management structure, taking ownership for the timely delivery of quality deliverables
  • Experience of project managing own and others’ work packages to contribute to an integrated project or programme
  • Experience of the sports industry, commercial monetisation trends and opportunities
  • Ability to deliver an argument in a clear and compelling manner
  • Produces high quality deliverables that are well structured, insight-led, robust and accurate
  • Ability to think creatively about client problems
  • Demonstrable client-facing experience and ability to develop strong relationships with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report-writing, presentations and workshop facilitation
  • Excellent working knowledge of core MS Office software (including PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Good data manipulation skills (incl. appropriate tools)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Educated to graduate / post graduate level
  • Experience using analytic tools and business intel to identify potential sponsors for clients and the rationale for a partnership.
  • Experience in the sponsorship marketplace
