Feasibility and financial business case for the new £25 million Castle Leisure Centre and successful operator procurement.
Our Brief:
To provide detailed business planning support for Southwark Council’s major new leisure facilities at Elephant & Castle and Canada Water and to manage the retendering of their leisure management contract on behalf of the Council.
Our Role:
We worked closely with the Council’s officer team to provide business planning advice on the new facility developments and managed the successful procurement of a management contractor for the Council’s Borough wide leisure portfolio.
The Result:
Our business planning advice was integral to the development of the new £25 million Castle Centre. The new wet and dry sports centre opened in 2016 and provides a significantly enhanced leisure experience for local residents. Our role on the appointment of a new leisure management contract successfully secured a significantly improved financial position for the Council.
