The brief:
To assess the commercial feasibility of hosting the Solheim Cup in Scotland, the likely public sector funding required, and the impact the event would have. EventScotland was considering a bid to host the 2019 event at Gleneagles, Perthshire.
Our role:
TSC created detailed income and expenditure budgets for the event, identifying the level of public sector subsidy required. We analysed different delivery model options including contracting with a delivery partner, and conducted projected economic, media, sporting and social impact studies.
The result:
EventScotland, with the support of TSC, was successful in its bid to bring the Solheim Cup to Scotland.
