London has been announced as the host of the Grand Final of the ITU Triathlon World Championship Series in 2013.
The event will take place in Hyde Park, where the triathlon competition for the London 2012 Games will be held a year earlier.
The announcement is the latest example of London building a longer-term legacy from its hosting of the Games, following the recent confirmation of the city as a candidate to host the World Athletics Championships in 2017.
