The Sports Consultancy has entered into an agreement with a supplier of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, EuroSite Power. Buildings that require large amounts of energy to heat or cool facilities, such as a swimming pool or an air conditioning unit, can benefit greatly from a CHP system. Installed in the plant room of a leisure centre, hotel spa, health and fitness club or ice arena, the CHP system will produce on-site electricity and heat at a cheaper rate than purchasing the energy from the National Grid, to reduce electricity and gas bills by up to 10%. EuroSite Power supplies, installs, operates and maintains CHP systems meaning there is no financial investment or operational responsibility for the client. The Sports Consultancy are currently looking at the potential for installing CHP systems with EuroSite Power at leisure centres, hotel spas, health and fitness clubs and ice arenas in the UK.
