About TSC
At The Sports Consultancy (TSC), we help shape the future of sport, major events, and entertainment through world-class strategic, commercial, and legal advisory services. Headquartered in London with a growing presence in the Middle East, we partner with leading international rights holders, governments, sports federations, host cities, investors, and venues.
Our consulting team delivers evidence-based strategies and actionable commercial solutions to help clients transform their organizations, maximize impact, and achieve sustainable growth. Our advisory work spans strategy, investments & growth, commercial, major events bid and delivery, venue and facilities strategy, and organizational transformation — underpinned by deep industry expertise, innovative thinking, and trusted client relationships.
TSC in the Middle East
We have an increasing presence in the Middle East with offices in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. We serve a diverse and high-profile client base, including major events, national sports federations, public sector organizations, rights holders, and leading brands. The region is a priority investment and growth market for TSC, particularly across investment advisory, venue development, and major event strategy and delivery.
This role will play a critical and strategic part in realizing these ambitions — driving our delivery capability, development on our facilities & venues practise, and helping us scale our presence and influence across the region. You will be central to shaping how we serve our clients in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving sports and major events markets in the world.
Your role
As a Senior Consultant at The Sports Consultancy (TSC), you will support the delivery of high-impact consulting engagements in the Middle East across sports strategy, commercial advisory, and venue and infrastructure development. You will independently lead smaller assignments or take ownership of workstreams within larger projects, managing junior consultants and analysts to deliver exceptional outputs.
You will bring strong project management discipline, analytical rigour, and client-facing confidence, particularly in projects involving business planning, financial modelling, and operating model design for sports and live entertainment venues. Your experience in real estate advisory, major events, or built environment consultancy will be instrumental in shaping future-ready strategies for cities, governments, and private investors.
The role requires frequent regional travel, including regular client engagement in the GCC and occasional visits to TSC’s London offices.
Your roles and responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Lead discrete projects or key workstreams within larger engagements, ensuring high-quality and timely outputs.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with clients and subject matter experts across diverse geographies and sectors.
- Translate complex data and research into actionable recommendations across commercial strategy, operations, and governance.
- Support delivery of financial models (TAM/SAM, P&L, IRR, NPV) and business cases for new and existing sports or entertainment venues.
- Conduct and present research, benchmarking, and feasibility assessments relevant to venue development and investment strategy.
- Undertake investment due diligence of the venues to structure and attract public and private sector investments.
- Be able to articulate revenue streams of sports and entertainment venues and identify operators/opportunities to enhance the revenue.
Practice Development & Business Development
- Contribute to proposals and business development efforts by developing compelling content and ideas aligned to client needs.
- Build internal knowledge assets, including case studies, toolkits, and models relevant to sports venues and infrastructure planning.
- Develop a strong knowledge base of the key revenue streams of sports and entertainment venues (e.g. ticketing, F&B, hospitality, naming rights, sponsorships, community use).
- Benchmark local and international venues to generate comparative insights and best practice references for project delivery.
- Work closely with the Facilities & Venues team based in London to leverage their expertise on UK venue operations, and contextualise relevant approaches for the GCC region.
- Work with identified global and local partners to build an end-to-end advisory and commercial execution practice for venues that is world-class and grounded in deep insights gained from both UK and regional projects.
- Participate in regional and sector-specific thought leadership activities, including market insights, white papers, and industry events.
Team & Office Leadership:
