Kirsten has recently returned to The Sports Consultancy as a Senior Consultant following five years in Auckland, New Zealand. After five years away, Kirsten will be working across the Consulting practice with a particular focus on host city consulting, city and event strategy, economic impact studies and host procurement processes. While in New Zealand, Kirsten led the Major Events Feasibility team at Auckland Tourism Events and Economic Development developing and implementing events strategy. She also spent 18 months in the Management Consulting team at PwC advising public and private sector clients on operational effectiveness, strategy, operating model and organisation design. Her sports and events sector clients included New Zealand Major Events, the New Zealand Olympic Committee and Sport New Zealand.

Kirsten is legally qualified, training at Magic Circle firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before being seconded to the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. She then joined The Sports Consultancy in 2011 providing legal and consulting advice to clients including the Volvo Ocean Race, the America’s Cup Event Authority and the International Equestrian Federation.

She is excited to be back in the UK and is looking forward to watching as many Liverpool FC and Scotland rugby matches as she can while also enjoying the great outdoors of Scotland.
